Boost your system with Vitamins
Everybody knows green smoothies. They are getting all the hype. Breakfast of Champions and rushed Workaholics, but not without a reason. Smoothies are the perfekt way to get your 5 needed veggies. 400g daily vegetables and 250g fruits are recommendet per day and this Green Smoothie is the perfect way to do it; This will cover your Vitamins, Minerals and antioxidants and tastes yummi while doing it.
If you love Smoothies or plan on uping your intake I have to recommend a high-performance mixer. Mainly because they last longer and are able to mix ice as well as berries etc. I love adding frozen fruits or nuts to my smoothies and my last one, could not get them small enough to drink them.
Green Smoothie: Base and Topping
Green Smoothies consist of three or four components: Green Vegetables, fruit, liquid and either a superfood or different spices for the special something.
For my favorite green smoothie I use fresh spinach (frozen works as well) and cucumber. Then I add sugar melon, apple and mango for sweetness and Banana for the creamy consistency. Then I add a little bit of water. Depending on your likes you can add more but I favor my smoothies thick. The last finishing touch is a little bit of fresh ginger for the spicyness and to boost the immune system.
- 100g fresh or frozen spinach
- 100g cucumber
- 100g sugar melon
- 60g apple
- 60g mango
- 50g banana
- 2g ginger
This smoothie can also be used as the base of a smoothie bowl.
- 50g yoghurt (unsweetened/greek)
- a few Blueberries
- 1 Pecan nut
That’s how you do it:
- Mix the spinach, cucumber, melon, apple, mango, banana and ginger togther and add a little bit of water.
- Then add the yoghurt, blueberries and the pecan nut. Aaaaand enjoy!
